Bro. Dave Wright graduated from Fox High School in Arnold, MO, in 1977. His extended studies include Pastoral Theology I & II. He has been married to his wife, Karen, since April 1, 1978. They have 2 children and 10 grandchildren. Bro. Dave is also owner and operator of his own business, Wright’s Decorating and Home Repair, which he established in 1982.
Bro. Dave surrendered to the ministry of preaching the gospel at the age of 15. He and Karen served the Lord at their home church, Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Lemay, MO, the first 2 years of their marriage. In 1980 they joined Wildwood Missionary Baptist Church in Barnhart, MO, and Bro. Dave became their Associate Pastor in 1983. He served as their Associate for 12 years. He was then called to pastor Central Missionary Baptist Church in Union, MO, in 1995, and served as her Pastor for 13 years. In the fall of 2008 they joined New Testament Baptist Church of Sullivan, and Bro. Dave was asked to join her staff as their Associate Pastor on February 22, 2009.
